Welcome to new-writing.com, the online showcase for new writing in the UK.

New-writing.com has been established by Gatehouse as an online showcase for students from across the country to display the best writing their university has to offer.

Gatehouse believes that students themselves are in the right position to edit, assess and ultimately offer to the world the work they feel best represents their institution.

At the end of each year the team at Gatehouse will select what they believe to be the best pieces displayed on new-writing.com and publish them in an hardcopy anthology which is distributed to on-campus bookstores nationwide.

Our site is currently undergoing a major overhaul but please check back soon.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students from Southampton University who participated in our pilot scheme. Don't worry if this is your first visit to our site - you haven't missed the great work on the Southampton showcase, as we'll be proudly displaying their work on our new (and improved) site soon.
